Search Engine Optimisation is the process of optimising a website for the organic area of Google’s search engine results.
The process involves optimising both the on page factors on the website itself as well as optimising the off page factors such as inbound links to the website.
The Search Engine Optimisation process is not a quick fix and it often takes months or years to make lasting improvements to the organic performance of a website.
At Merge Media, we start with comprehensive and detailed keyword research to set the right content structure of the website so that it will begin to rank organically from the start.
Website Optimisation is an end to end process by which all factors are taken into account to optimise the exposure of a website in the Organic and Paid Advertising spaces in Google and BING.
The process starts with the selection of keywords or phrases. We then compare these against the on-line competition and finalise a master set of keywords to use for both Organic and Pay Per Click (Adwords) optimisation.
Both the Adwords and organic website optimisation need to be in sync. For some keywords, the website might be ranking quite well organically so there is little need for targeting an Adwords campaign for the same keywords. In other cases where keywords are not ranking well, it is advisable to embark on Google Adwords campaign targeting the pay per click search results.
Website Optimisation uses both Search Engine Optimisation and Search Engine Optimisation techniques.
