About Merge Media
We are a Beachlands, East Auckland based digital graphic design and web agency. We specialise in logos & branding, flyers, business cards, social media and responsive websites.
Merge Media was created in 2009 by creative director and graphic designer, Renee Orlop.
I’ve been a web and graphic designer for over 20 years both here and overseas, working with clients across the board including prestige brands such as Audi and Mercedes Benz. In recent years though my focus has changed a little.
I’m finding it really rewarding assisting SMEs with their branding. When we’re involved with our clients’ entire brand development story from initial logo stage through to completion, that ensures all collateral from business cards, stationery, brochures, signage and packaging, carries a clear, consistent and powerful brand message across all marketing channels.
Our commitment is to create a brand and online presence for our clients in the marketplace that accurately reflects what they’re about, and good communication is fundamental to brand success.
I make sure I receive thorough briefs from my clients. I listen carefully to what their business does, how it’s performing, where it’s going and what operators’ ultimate goals are. We also look at clients’ target markets, how we can effectively aim for those and in terms of clients’ existing brand images, we want to know what they do and what they don’t like. Sometimes I liaise with my clients’ marketing consultants to achieve the best brief possible and ensure we’re getting the right message across.
Yes, working with smaller budgets can be more challenging, and we like that challenge. We’re keen to create brands our clients relate to, brands that inspire them to achieve more and produce better results that boost their business’ bottom line, no matter the size of their budget.
When I’m not at work, these days I can usually be found in Beachlands. My family and I have recently moved here and we’re loving the lifestyle, enjoying meeting new people and getting involved in the community. Through what I do, I’m enjoying finding out about all sorts of different industries as well.
I love spending time with my two girls, renovating our new home, upcycling furniture, and fishing. We also head out and go exploring, either on foot or on bikes and whenever we can, travel around New Zealand and discover more of this beautiful country.
